Our Commitment
imgic is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people of all abilities. We strive to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standards. We continually work to improve the user experience for everyone and apply relevant accessibility standards across our website and tools.
Measures We Take
To support accessibility, imgic takes the following measures:
- Semantic HTML markup throughout the site for screen reader compatibility.
- Sufficient colour contrast ratios for text and interactive elements.
- Keyboard-navigable menus, forms, and page controls.
- Descriptive alternative text for informational images.
- Clear, consistent page structure with proper heading hierarchy.
- Focus indicators for interactive elements.
- Arrow-key nudging implemented where possible for canvas-based tools.
Known Limitations
While we strive for full WCAG 2.1 AA conformance, the following known limitations exist:
- Interactive canvas tools: Certain tools, including crop, social media presets, and other canvas-based editors, use drag-and-drop interactions that may not be fully keyboard-operable. These tools rely on pointer-based manipulation of canvas elements, which presents inherent accessibility challenges.
- Complex visual editing: Some visual editing operations (such as freeform cropping and aspect ratio adjustments) depend on mouse or touch input for precise control.
We are actively exploring ways to improve keyboard and assistive technology support for these tools.
Workarounds
If you are unable to operate the interactive canvas tools due to accessibility barriers:
- Use the resize tool as an alternative for common image dimension adjustments. The resize tool uses standard form inputs that are fully keyboard-accessible.
- Contact us at hello@imgic.com and we will do our best to assist you with your image editing needs or suggest accessible alternatives.
Third-Party Content
imgic displays advertising through Google AdSense. These ad units are served by a third party, and imgic cannot guarantee the accessibility of their content. We encourage Google to maintain accessible ad experiences, but we do not have direct control over the markup or behaviour of ad units rendered on our pages.
